4Aluratek AIS01F

I'll Start by saying that I own several different types of these bluetooth receivers. I build MP3 players, speakers, ect.. in my spare time. Sound quality (to me) is the most important factor when choosing a device like this. Out of the 3 models that I currently use this is by far the best. High fequencies are typically exagerated and distort at high levels with most bluetooth receivers I have used. The Aluratek's sound surpasses all of them. I will be using this going forward for all my projects. Agree the cable is a little whimppy, Get some Velcro, secure it and you're good.

3Works Well But...
By WmO
I got this device so I could listen to podcasts over my Incredible 2 in my vehicle. I was using a patch cord, but the headphone jack on my phone was wearing out (down to one channel of the stereo). This type of device is a great solution.

The only issue I have with the device is that I have to pair and connect EVERY TIME I want to use it. I wish it would "remember" my phone. Even when my phone shows the device in its listing of available bluetooth devices, when I do go to pair the I-Stream, it drops off the remembered device list of my phone. I then have to put the I-stream in discovery mode, and scan with my phone. Even then, it's not always a sure pair. I can get it to work with effort and then it's smooth sailing once connected. Good for one drive at a time essentially. Also did get it to work with some speakers in the house.

1Must turn on frequently
By E. Norman
One of my friends is able to stream music around his house, and I thought it was the greatest thing. So I decided I would also go wireless in my home and my car. I bought this unit in the hopes that it would work in the car. The problem is that you have to turn it on each time the power source is interrupted. And it's a little black switch on black plastic that you have to hold for about 8 seconds. So this didn't work (I bought a Belkin F8Z492TTP Bluetooth Music Receiver that is always on when power is on). Then I thought I would try it at my office desk and just leave it plugged in all the time. Unfortunately, it still turns off after some period of time. So when you come back a few days later expecting to connect seamlessly, you have to find the little black button and hold it down for 8 seconds. For this, you might as well plug in a cord.
